Just enter PvP lobby/Mistlock if you need a bank that badly while still being able to return to your original spot. I can count the amount of times I use the bank per day on 1 hand. If you had a permanent bank access that number would go up drastically. I use my bank as a second, account wide inventory. There is one in all of the major cities. You can also access your bank from crafting tables. (ex Armorsmith station, etc). These are also in the cities and can be found in some of the beginning zones (Claypool for humans, etc).
it's a conveinent tool in a shared inventory slot for when you need to rapidly swap items/gear/swag between toons. it makes dealing with saveable clutter faster and easier than having to travel to a hub to access the bank. you become somewhat the map hero big deal when you pop out the bank bot in a camp or waypoint before or after a meta that
